It’s amazing how the 33 makes the Blackhawk actually sound like an active pickup by leaving just enough headroom in your signal chain without adding excess gain on top of it. Mix that with the consistency that the rail design of the blackhawks makes everything sound even tighter and more consistent and you get one of the nastiest sounds that can’t be achieved with just a tube screamer alone.
